The project will comprise the first phase of development of the hydroelectric potential of the Lungga river at a site some 8 km from Honiara, and about 10 km upstream from the mouth of the river. The project components are: 1. Dam and Reservoir; 2. Power Station; 3. Sub-station and Transmission; 4. Miscellaneous Equipment; and 5. Consultancy Services and Training.
