This project aims at increasing paddy rice production by approximately 35,500 metric tons/year. Works will include the following:
- rehabilitation of an irrigation system along the Mangoky River, making rice cultivation possible on an additional 6,850 hectares; and
- provision of small loans to farmers to enable them to purchase inputs, equipment and storage facilities.
