This project will complete the upgrading of stretch that serves nearly two million people. This will enable the year-round transportation of people and goods and help promote trade opportunities. Works will include:
- rehabilitation of an existing 23km-long road and construction of a new 3 km road (Liwonde bypass)
- rehabilitation of two bridges
- extension of culverts and construction of new ones
- installation of road markings and signs
- consultancy services
