To upgrade a 121km earth road with an all-weather surface to remove transport constraints for some 350,000 people, most of whom rely on agriculture for livelihoods. The improved road will reduce travel time considerably between Laminkoto and Passimus and facilitate transport of locally-grown produce, such as groundnuts. It will also provide year-round, faster access to health care centers and other social services. This will, in turn, help boost socio-economic growth and reduce poverty.
