This project will rehabilitate and upgrade the 42 km Joal - Djiffer road, which is situated in the region of Fatick around 150 km east of the capital Dakar. The improved road, which passes through key agricultural areas, will help reduce travel time and transport costs and improve the delivery of inputs and produce to marketplaces. It will also facilitate access to basic social services. Overall, the project is expected to improve living conditions of around 2.1 million individuals.
