The project aims at reforming and strengthening existing technical/industrial education facilities with the aim of raising them to international standards. This will include:

  • upgrading and equipping of 33 five-year Secondary Technical Industrial Schools, in 27 primarily rural governorates
  • construction of three Multi-purpose Training Centers will be built and equipped with workshops and laboratories
  • re-equipping and refurnishing of 340 existing workshops
Each year, 40,000 five-year and 200,000 three-year technical students will benefit from the new training centers. The new facilities will also place special emphasis on meeting the needs of disadvantaged pupils.
