This project aimed to achieve better access to a safe and sustainable drinking water supply for about 20,000 people in eight rural Bolivian communities. The project achieved its objective through ensuring the population's access to reliable sources of drinking water and water connections for households supply through drilling water wells, installing tanks, constructing water purification plants and pumping systems. Furthermore, the project helped the beneficiary communities to manage in a sustainable manner the drinking water systems, through capacity building workshops and establishing water cooperatives that are dedicated to supervising the services provided.
