The loan proceeds will be used to purchase spare parts and maintnance installations needed for the construction of reservoirs in the Vientiane Plain. This is part of an agricultural rehabiltiation and development program whose main beneficiaries are the estimated 100,000 displaced persons now being resettled in the Vientiane Plain.
