The objectives of this project are to ensure equal access to basic health services as part of Government's poverty alleviation strategies. Works will include renovation and expansion of the Academic Hospital of Paramaribo, the main national referral and teaching hospital in the country. Additionally, five primary health care centers will be built. An estimated 350,000 people are expected to benefit from the project.
