GPL will design, construct, erect, commission and operate a 80.32 Megawatt (MW) power plant in the Athi River region, around 20km from the capital Nairobi. OFID's loan will help finance construction of the plant, which will help increase energy penetration in under-served areas, reduce energy shortages and improve living standards.
