Guinea Worm Eradication Program

Sudan, Ghana, Mali, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Niger

The grant co-financed the final phase of the Guinea Worm Disease eradication campaign with the goal to fully eradicate GWD by the end of 2012. The activities of this phase involved the development and maintenance of surveillance, reporting and response capacity of national agencies in the endemic countries through technical and financial assistance and capacity building activities.
