The project aimed at exploring Djibouti's geothermal potential with a view to reinforcing Djibouti's basic infrastructure and developing its natural resources. It comprised:
- pre-deep drilling;
- consultancy services for the preparation of bidding documents;
- project manager and drilling contractor;
- project supervision firm;
- technical assisntance to the executing agency; and
- supplementary exploration surveys in the Gaggade area.
