The project will carry out the following works:
- completion of on-going construction of the Nissab to Wasit road section (35 km);
- construction of the Wasit to Wadi Beihan road section (125 km);
- provision of technical assistance to the Ministry of Construction;
- construction, extension and/or rehabilitation of facilities at road maintenance district and sub-district centers;
- procurement of equipment and spare parts for communications and computer equipment; and
- asphalting of 21 km of inter-urban road and 5 km of urban road.
