The aim of this project is to improve the quality of life of women in 23 rural communities in the Municipality of Santa María de Pantasma, in the Department of Jinotega, Nicaragua. It will involve mainly capacity-building activities and technical assistance for the creation and management of five banks of creole seeds; procurement of equipment, materials and supplies for the seed banks; creation and strengthening of 5 community-based women's associations, and outreach activities for the advancement of women’s rights.
