Food Security and Livelihood Enhancement Program in the Horn of Africa

The grant was extended to sustainably improve incomes, nutrition and health access of agro-pastoral, nomadic and semi-nomadic communities in the Somali regions of Ethiopia, Djibouti and northern Somalia. The grant proceeds contributed to improve the access of poor rural households to drinking water supply and health services, to better quality and quantity of livestock products sold by pastoral women and men, and resulting income improvements for their households and to the establishment of a rangeland and animal resource management system.
