This project focused on providing peasant farmers with the means to increase their yields and facilitate the sale of produce in 11 rural departments in the country’s Pacific and Central regions. Small irrigation centers, marketing facilities, collection centers and slaughterhouses were constructed. Works also included rehabilitation of rural roads and soil conservation initiatives, benefiting in all some 1.3 million people.
