To develop and promote the industrial, agricultural and commercial activity in the Department of Cochabamba. Works will include:

  • upgrading and expansion of 20.3 km of two priority sections of the Cochabamba Road;
  • rehabilitation of two bridges spanning the Kora River and reconstruction of the Pankuruma River and Viloma River bridges;
  • construction of a new 270 m-long, two-lane parallel bridge over the Viloma River;
  • replacement of existing drainage with new culvert systems and installation of road lighting;
  • reforestation and restoration programs; and
  • project management.
The project will benefit at least 285,000 people from the improved access to social and commercial services. It will also facilitate the trade between Bolivia, Chile and Brazil.
