The overall development objective of the project is to improve socio-economic services and opportunities through the execution and implementation of direct productive infrastructure investments. The Economic-Productive infrastructure investments will be concentrated in priority territorial areas with extreme rural poverty levels.
The project will contribute to support the Government in its efforts aiming to eradicate extreme rural poverty asas well as provide basis for social inclusion and organised community participation, as defined by the recently launched (May 2009), PLAN VIDA, or "Lifeline" plan.
