Establishment of the Shapur Saddar Hospital in Central Punjab

The project aimed at constructing and equipping a specialized ophthalmology hospital to provide accessible free eye care and treat curable blindness among the needy population in underserved areas. The construction works started at the beginning of 2004, and the new facility has now a capacity of 48 beds, an outpatient department, a dispensary, major and minor operation theatres and a low vision clinic.
