Yemen, since the start of its current conflict in 2015, is enduring one of the biggest humanitarian crises in the world. Millions of people continue to be displaced and thousands of civilians have been reported wounded or killed by the conflicts. Internally displaced people and residents are often unable to obtain essential commodities and services such as food, water and medical care, due to damages on public infrastructure and restrictions on the movement of goods and people. For the above reasons, OFID approved an Emergency Aid grant in support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) ongoing humanitarian operations in Yemen.
