The project will carry out the following:
- construction of river pumping stations and an irrigation distribution system;
- setting-up of a sprinkler system for field irrigation;
- land clearance;
- drainage and flood protection works;
- development of infrastructural works to support the agricultural activities of the project; procurement of equipment and vehicles;
- construction of a 110KV-90 km long power transmission line and a 110/33KV sub-station; and
- consultancy services and technical assistance.
