The cost of the program, which started in 1995, was US$288,000. The program was implemented in Mozambique, Western Samoa and Guatemala. It aimed at supporting national food safety and promoting public awareness of the importance of hygienic preparation and handling of food by training health workers employed in maternal and child centers, and other public health centers.
