The project consists of the following components:

• construction of irrigation canals and reservoirs;
• provision of short-, medium- and long-term credit to farmers through a line of credit to the BAP;
• provision of agricultural extension and training services;
• improvement of marketing facilities and facilitating access to other markets;
• purchase of vehicles and equipment; and
• technical assistance.
