CMMC produces high-quality bricks for the infrastructure and housing sectors, and is seeking to expand its three year-old pilot processing plant. This loan will help finance two distinct operations: expansion of the extraction and grinding facility that uses materials from an adjacent stone quarry, and a stone brick manufacturing unit on the outskirts of the capital, Bamako. The project is expected to help meet the needs of the housing and other infrastructure sectors, assist in the development of a local building industry and create of new jobs.
