The programme is designed to assist the borrower to meet part of its requirements of essential inputs for the agricultural sector. Specifically, the proceeds of the loan shall be used exclusively for the importation of insecticides and of raw materials for the local production of insecticides needed to sustain cotton and groundnuts production. The proceeds of the loan are to cover the cost of the purchase of the products and the cost of their transportation and related services.
