The grant was extended to the International Potato Center (CIP) with the aim to contribute more effectively to poverty and hunger alleviation in farm households where potato is an important part of livelihoods systems in Kenya, Uganda, Peru and Ecuador. Research results were adopted by farmers in Tanzania, Congo, Burundi and Bolivia.
