The project consists of two components: Part A: construction of new shrimp hatcheries; training and extension services; upgrading of shrimp quality control centers; water quality monitoring; project management; consulting services; project monitoring and evaluation; and upgrading of shrimp hatcheries. These components are to be implemented by DOF and related to support services. Part B: improvement of existing shrimp ponds; new shrimp pond development; new brackishwater shrimp hatcheries; and other aquaculture activities. These components are to be implemented by BAAC and relates to credit for improvement of 6,000 ha of existing brackishwater ponds.
