The loan proceeds were used to import bulldozers, wheel loader, tractor trucks, small generators, etc. for the construction of reservoirs and development of the Vientiane Plain. The main beneficiaries of this program are the estimated 100,000 displaced persons being settled in the Vientaine Plain.
