The project aims at securing and improving incomes for the population of Bokeo Province through the following works:
- Agricultural development - covering irrigation system rehabilitation, technically enhanced farming systems and pilot watershed development;
- Livestock development - encompassing veterinary programs, improved livestock husbandry and marketing facilities and upgrading of district livestock offices;
- Road development - comprising rehabilitation of the 78 km Honayxai - Muangnom road and construction of feeder roads, provision of offices, equipment and technical assistance to the implementation provincial department;
- Primary Health and education - including maternal care, nutrition, disease control and sanitation;
- Institutional development - covering institution building, human resource development, office construction and provision of equipment.
