OFID’s credit line will form part of BFS’s funding expansion program that is being financed alongside lines of credit from other development finance institutions including the IFC, FMO, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and Standard Chartered Bank. Given the operational focus of BFS, the lending undertaken will assist in the expansion of private sector development and employment generation, as well as general economic growth across Sub-Saharan Africa.
