The project is designed to increase agricultural output by the irrigation and drainage of initially 2100 ha of land and the reclamation of 4425 ha of rainfed land. The components are: dam construction and hydro-electric works, mechanical and electrical works, road construction, irrigation and drainage works, establishment of a 132 km power transmission line, rainfed farming, social services, design, tendering, supervision and technical assistance.
