Shams Al Houryah Association for Women was established in 1992, and is based in the city of Deir Al Balah in the Gaza Strip. The Association's mission is to improve the socio-economic status of women and their community through education programs, income generating projects, and enhancing their role and participation in community development. The grant has been extended in support of the project Health Assessment and Provision of Meals for Children Suffering from Malnutrition.
