Established in 1993 in Gaza, El Remal, as a Non-profitable charity NGO, it is the only society in Palestine that provides care and services for Palestinian patients with Down’s syndrome. The Society implements its services through five programs; Early intervention Program, Kindergarten Program, The Special Education School, Pre-Vocational and Vocational Programs. For 500 patients with different age groups, RLS provides medical services, counselling and social services, physiotherapy, speech and hearing therapy skill development program and additional services such as daily meals, transportation and free medical insurance.
