El-Wafa Medical Rehab and Specialized Surgery Hospital is a Gaza based institution that was established in 1996. Its main objectives include providing therapy and rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities; offering shelter for the elderly; and alleviating the suffering of people in need. The grant has been extended for a project pertaining to purchasing medical equipment that would improve the quality of medical rehabilitation services it offers. This included a Bone Densitometer (DEXA); a Vacuum Compression Therapy System (Vasotrain); a Mobile X-Ray Unit; and an Arthroscopy System.
