The Jenin Charitable Society was established in 1972 in Jenin. Its core activities are to provide education and other social services for underprivileged orphans, handicapped, and the poor. It has built and operated several schools including a special school for the deaf and a kindergarten. The grant supported the operations of the school for the deaf for the year 2009/2010.
