The Agriculture Wealth Association for Development (AWAD) was established in 2004 in the Gaza Strip. Its mission is to help farmers in the Hai Alhnaour village to become economically independent in a sustainable manner. OFID’s grant will help enhance the socioeconomic welfare of 200 beekeepers in the Hai Althanour Village, by providing beehives and related equipment and materials. Activities will also include planting 200 dunums of open field with medical and aromatic plants, creating sustainable incomes for 200 poor farmers and to enhance the capacity and participation of women as beekeepers.
