The Al-Bait Assamed Association Society is a charitable non-profitable Palestinian NGO established in June 1989 by a group of working women. The aim of the Society is to provide financial support and humanitarian assistance to needy women and children and promote Palestinian women's capacities in Gaza. The grant has been extended to co-finance a project on Economic Development and Empowerment for Women. The project objective is to sustainably improve women's socio economic status through skill enhancements, employment and income generation activities, such sewing and knitting services, and counselling.
