Alethar Social Society is Palestinian NGO established in 2007 in Khan Younis, Gaza Strip. Its objectives are to alleviate to the suffering of Palestinians through introducing relief interventions, to minimize unemployment rates, to improve the health care status, to raise health awareness, to elevate scholastic achievements of Palestinian students in Gaza Strip. The grant was extended to support the Establishment of a Water Purifying Unit to serve 20 schools in Khan Younis. The Unit production capacity reached with OFID's contribution 80 liter/hour purified drinking water using the UV technique to supply 20 schools of the province with 20 water tanks of 2,000 liters capacity per month/school.
