NAMD was established in 2002, as a community based non-governmental, non-profit charitable association, aiming at providing social and cultural services to the Palestinian community and developing human capacity, especially for young people. The grant has been extended to provide rehabilitation to a large number of physical and mentally disabled children. The main focus of the project was on physical therapy and psychological treatment. In addition, families of disabled children have been educated about the disability itself. This included family counselling, moral support, medical devices as well as recreational activities.
