DBRS was established 1998, with the objective of educating persons with special needs, defending their civil rights and providing vocational training. During the last five years DBRS has established the Alhanan Deaf School, a child enhancing skill center, a vocational training center, a physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation center, a guidance program with social workers as well as a radio station. The grant has been extended to purchase rehabilitation equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, air mattresses and medicine. Further, DBRS conducted home visits including rehabilitation, physiotherapy and psycho-social therapy.
