The grant was extended by the OPEC Fund for the alleviation of the food situation in 12 African countries: Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Chad, Ethiopia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Somalia and the Sudan. 179 trucks were delivered to these countries for emergency food transport.
