The grant supported upgrading the Al-Gezira Hospital’s Centre for Urology and Nephrology in Medani City to accommodate the rising renal problems in the Sudan and to assist postgraduate students to carry out specialized research. A Diagnostic a Urological Diathermy unit has been purchased by SIU for the Centre.
