The proposed facility is aimed to build a strong pipeline of bankable projects, including sovereign and non-sovereign lending operations, which the OPEC Fund could subsequently finance with ADB and other development partners, and ensure efficient and effective implementation of these operations. This will in turn help the OPEC Fund achieve its growth targets, particularly for public sector OCR, set out in the Business Plan 2022-2024, which foresees an expansion of its operations in the Asia and Pacific regions.
