The OFID's grant supported UNICEF's efforts to scale up Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in primary schools in Tanzania. Which, over 90 per cent of schools lacked functioning hand-washing facilities and only four per cent of schools had made any sanitation or hand-washing provision for children with disabilities. The grant supported scaling up of SWASH in 10 out of 57 total schools in Tanzania (includign: Temeke Municipal Council - Dar es Salaam Region, Siha District Council - Kilimanjaro Region, and Kibondo District Council - Kigoma Region).
