The project's main objective is to enhance access to affordable, reliable and sustainable electricity services of the population of Contuboel village and its surroundings. The project directly benefited 440 customers, including 390 households (representing approximately 3,500 people), 40 businesses, as well as local schools and a health centre. The project achieved the following: 1. Installation of mini-grid network; with approximately 6 km Low and 3 km Medium voltage cables; 2. Installation of a solar power plant; 3. 440 rural households, small enterprises and community centres provided with access to sustainable and affordable electricity; 4. Approximately 100 MWh electricity generation per year by project end; 5. Approximately 100 kWp of solar PV installed capacity.
