To build a 23.6 km-long Rubengera-Gasiza section of the multinational road linking Rwanda to Burundi, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo, thus enhancing access to social services, marketplaces and agricultural production zones for some 1.8 million people. The project will involve the following works:
- construction and paving of a 23.6 km long road; small concrete bridge (60 m long); fences and installation of road signs and crossing-points to ensure road safety; and
- consultancy services.
