To construct and equip a new hospital and residential staff building in Rongai city. On completion, the project will improve the quality and accessibility of affordable healthcare services for some 150,000 people. Works to be carried out include:

  • construction of a four-story, approximately 15,000m2 hospital facility with a 220-bed capacity
  • inclusion of emergency facilities and operating theaters
  • construction of a 100-room housing unit for physicians and medical staff
  • procurement of medical equipment and furniture
  • PIU support and consultancy services
In addition to providing the local population with high-quality medical care, the project will reduce the patient load on other hospitals, particularly ones in the capital Nairobi that are presently very congested. Employment opportunities will also be created both during and after the construction phase.
