The aims of this project are to help meet the growing medical needs and improve the quality and delivery of healthcare services for the estimated 950,000 inhabitants of the Yumbe and Kayunga provinces. In addition to rehabilitating existing infrastructure, the project will:
- construct new buildings for receiving outpatients and providing emergency care
- build housing for medical staff, as the lack of such facilities has made it difficult to retain staff
- provision of medical equipment and furniture
