The project aims at improving SLEC's electric generation and distribution capacity. It consists of: (a) the rehabilitation of SLEC's existing electricity generating facilities and the improvement of its management; (b) the establishment of a new and independent authority (NPA); and (c) the completion of the detailed engineering study of the Bumbuna Hydroelectric Project.
