To construct and equip a control center to monitor the transmission of electricity in the capital Nouakchott. Around two million inhabitants are expected to benefit from the improved delivery of electrical power. The project will contribute to poverty reduction through the improvement of power supply delivery to households, schools, health service facilities, water supply facilities and factories. A continuous availability of electricity will benefit the operations of small shops, cold storage systems and hotels, and thus have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of the project area.
